Q: What size rebars is standard on most residential jobs, and what is standard spacing or placement?

A: #3, or 3/8" rebar is standard on most jobs placed 18" on center.

Q: How thick will my new driveway or patio be, and what strength will it be ?

A: Normally 5" thick is standard for driveways at a PSI (pounds per square inch) of 3,000. Patios will be poured at 4" thick.

Q: How long should I stay off my newly poured driveway?

A: Recommended cure time is 28 days for vehicle traffic. Pedestrian traffic wait 24 hours.

Q: Will there be a contract involved in our project?

Q: What is your payment policy?

Q: What is the difference between "Stamped" concrete and "Stamped Overlay"?

A: They are two different products. Stamped Overlays are applied in 1/4" thick over existing concrete. Stamped concrete is a process of stamping newly poured concrete.

Q: What about cracks in my concrete ?

A: Because all concrete cracks and we want to control where it will appear, we use control joints to manage the cracking. Control joints are strategically placed, using industry standards, to allow for movements caused by temperature changes, and drying shrinkage.

Q: What is sealer?

A: Sealer is a top coat that's put on particular types of finished concrete projects after it has time to cure (usually within 5-7 days). It usually will enhance the beauty and color of the concrete. Sealers will generally resist damage from stains, acids, moisture, mold and mildew.
